Thanks for checking out our blog. This is a senior home in Princeton NJ that needed soft washing for dryvit/stuco. This type of siding cannot be washed with high pressure. We use a blend of detergents to disinfect the building of mold. We add surfactants to the detergents that lifts the dirt into suspension which then allows us to use low pressure to simply rinse the dirt away. “his is called “soft-washing”. This method replaces the old outdated method of high pressure washing. It has been found that high pressure creates more damage than good. High pressure allows water to enter behind the siding and create damage and mold. It can also dislodge caulking around windows. A specific detergent is applied and each stain is categorized. There are many types of stains such as mold, mildew, oxidation, rust, grease and oil, and general pollutants. We use the same soft-washing techniques on roofs, sidings of all types, cement, fences, and more.
