Thank you for finding our New Jersey Power Washing and Roof Cleaning page. We service most of New Jersey for soft washing and soft roof cleaning services. Power washing and roof cleaning isn’t about simply blasting water to achieve clean. Each stain is different and should be treated accordingly. Mold and mildew has it’s own solution, while rust requires something different. Grease is it’s own animal and may require hot water, and so on and so on.
New Jersey Roof Cleaning
Stains on a roof are alive and contagious. We never pressure wash a roof. Pressure washing roof shingles can dislodge large amounts of roofing granules and shorten the life of the roof. Furthermore, pressure washing doesn’t create full sterilization. If you do not achieve 100% sterilization you can be sure the stain will return rather quickly. We apply a safe yet very effective biodegradable detergent that will dissolve algae staining and kill moss at the root. You can be sure with our soft wash complete sterilization process your roof will stay clean for many years to come. Each full roof treatment comes with our exclusive 5 Year Spot-Free Warranty, in writing.
Don’t be fooled by other companies who offer “low-pressure” pressure washing. The bottom line is if it’s hooked up to a gas powered pressure washer the pressure is likely to be too high for the roof shingle. If it’s really low pressure than a regular house spigot should be enough. With the right nozzle even a house spigot can produce a fair amount of pressure. Those roof granules come off fairly easy. Washing away more granules will shorten the life of the roof.
Roof Moss Cleaning New Jersey
Moss develops a root system like a plant. If you don’t kill the moss at the root you did not solve the problem. Let me give you a hard truth: If you spray something on the roof that does not have the ability to kill plants on the ground it will not kill the vegetation on your roof. You need to spray a suction that is not plant friendly. If you properly cover landscape below, bag the gutters to reclaim any run off and provide proper strategic rinsing you can have your roof cleaned without effecting landscape below. If another companies is providing you the dangers of bleach that means they’re the type of companies that will be pressure washing your roof. Bleach is safe and very effective. There’s bleach in swimming pools. There’s also bleach in your tap water. Bleach is the only product endorsed by Timberline roof shingle manufacturers. I can provide the link to their website that verifies my claim. I’d be glad to send it to anyone who asks.
Pressure Washing New Jersey
There have been major advancements in detergents and equipment in the past few years. No longer are the days when your professional pressure washer uses high pressure water as an answer to every stain. Those type of washers are still out there but they are hardly professional. An expert understands the nature of each stain and the specific detergent to lift that particular stain. Organic stains such as mold, mildew and algae can release easily with a simple chlorinated detergent. A rust stain may require a simple buffered acid. A grease stain may require hot water with a butyl based detergent. So on and so on, I think you catch my drift.
This is what is called “soft washing”. This is the art of finding the proper detergent to lift that specific stain. Then it is simply rinsed away. High pressure is not needed and can only open up the possibility of damage to screens, wood and painted surfaces, along with the possibility of forcing water up under the siding. It can also run the risk of damage to soft siding surfaces such as stucco or dryvit.
